10TRAX#002: DJ Overdose

Hosted by Undermad

Info
Thanks to @jayoverdose - WARNING: You may be subject to booty shaking… This week's 10TRAX comes from DJ Overdose (Model Man, Get It Boyz, Novamen, The Hasbeens…).Normally associated with The Hague's electro ‘elite', he has been involved with music ever since the late 80's. A lover of Hip Hop, he's been mixing it, collecting it and even scratching it, whilst releasing on labels such as Bunker Records, Murder Capital or more recently on Crème Organisation. His passion for early Hip Hop seems to be reflected in the rawness of his production work as well as his DJing. For this mix he has decided to dedicate his 10 tracks exclusively to Miami Bass, and more specifically Beat Master Clay D. aka The One And Only Beat Master Out Of Miami. Although he might not be its best known product, the Florida producer played a pivotal role in the development of Miami Bass. Jay Overdose's homage is goofy yet deeply educational. The tracks are from Clay D's early period from 87 to 89 where he collaborated with the kinds of DJ Magic Mike or MC Cool Rock (RIP) to name a few. From Undermad we would like to thank DJ Overdose for this amazing mix and history lesson! - TL 01. M.C. Cool Rock & M.C. Chaszy Chess - Let The Music Play 02. M.C. Cool Rock & M.C.
